French Connection From Sketch To Store Style Challenge

I was very privileged to be invited to the French Connection From Sketch To Store Style Challenge party that was happening in stores across the country. With my friends Katie, Zoë and Andrew in tow, we headed off to the St. Albans store for a night of fun and fashion!

Before the Style Challenge
We were welcomed into the store with drinks, and had our photo taken, before being let loose on their new autumn/winter collection! Think monochrome classic staples with flashes of colour such as burnt orange and neon, alongside texture, quality lines and stunning lace evening dresses. Accessory wise, they have some stunning leather beauties, soft scarves and a monochrome horse print that runs through the clothes collection too. My particular favourites are the wax/leather look jeans, the burnt orange coat and the lace embellished dress.

For the Style Challenge, we had to style an outfit made up from the new collection and model it, where our photo would be entered for a chance to win £1250 in giftcards! What a great prize! Here’s our entry!

And here’s my outfit that I chose!

My glasses making an appearance!

At first, I was going to play it safe with a mix of burgundy cream and black, but then my eyes fell on the gorgeous orange colour of the coat and knew I had to wear it! Its just such a beautiful, vibrant colour, but autumnal; it reminds me of pumpkins and spices! Plus, an added bonus was that it matched the shoes I was wearing! I kept the rest of the outfit quite simple, with layering, texture and monochrome. I know you can’t really see it in the pictures, but the jumper has lace shoulders, so that the shirt underneath peeps through! I just love this detail as it really quirks up the layering. I actually ended up buying the jeans and the white shirt, as my white shirt has unfortunately died L I will be including these in my very first vlog soon! Please feel free to subscribe to my channel here, its pretty empty at the moment, but I’m in the midst of editing my first video, so it’ll be up very soon!

At the end of the night we also received a lovely (and very generous) goodie bag, including Lindt chocolates, Rituals and St Tropez products! They’ll also be making an appearance in my video, so stay tuned!

Now this is where you guys can give a helping hand.

The Style Challenge is judged on how many likes our photo gets on Facebook, so if you have Facebook and you would like to vote for us in the Style Challenge, we would really really love it if you could like the photo here
