OOTD: Don't You Ever Change

Taking pictures of yourself is always hard, especially when you have to (if you're a blogger, I mean, not a serial selfie taker). You're usually confined to your home, as otherwise you have to lug your camera, tripod etc etc to your desired location. It also takes a long time, but when you have a lovely person to take the pictures for you, it's a lot easier! And the lovely person who took these pictures of me was Andrew! He is currently studying Fashion Photography, so when he asked me to help him out with a project I of course accepted! You can find his features here and here. The pictures are so stunning, thank you Andrew!

Credit to Andrew for the pictures <3

Bowler hat- Topshop (similar)
Necklace- Topshop (similar)
Coat- New Look
(currently sold out, but similar here and here)
Crop top- Plume (similar)
Skirt- Topshop
Satchel- Cambridge Satchel Company
Gold rings- H&M
Rabbit ring- Me and Zena
Sneakers- Converse
As spring days can be temperamental, its great to mix layers so that you're fully prepared for whatever the weather might through at you! I love the texture of this fur coat; it's so lightweight and can be worn on, around my shoulders or tied around my waist. To make it work for day I added it to a sporty crop top, gold accessories and sneakers. And I just can't live without my bowler hat!

What's your favourite spring cover-up?

Liebster Award #5

I'm so gutted that these got buried in my drafts, as they are so much fun to do! But finally, here we have my responses to the Liebster Award! This time I was nominated by Julie from My Wilderness and Gemma from Cream Tea and Rose Jam.  Thank you for nominating me! Go check them out, they are lovely ladies!

So I'm going to split my nominations into two parts, starting with my nomination from Gemma!

The Liebster Award is given to up and coming bloggers who have less than 200 followers. Liebster is German and means sweetest, kindest, dearest. Blogging is about building a community and it's a great way to connect with other bloggers and help spread the word about newer bloggers/blogs.

The Liebster Award Rules:

  • You must link back to the person who nominated you.
  • You must state 11 random facts about yourself.
  • You must answer the 10 Liebster questions given to you by the person who nominated you.
  • You must pick 10 bloggers to be nominated for the award with under 200 followers.
  • You must come up with 10 questions for your nominees to answer.
  • You must go to their blogs and notify them.
Eleven random facts about me

1. I'm an aspiring actress, and I've done various projects in short film, feature film, TV, adverts and on the stage.

2. I'm obsessed with CSI, NCIS, Law and Order and The Mentalist. This is partly my mum's fault, as she loves it too!

3. I used to be allergic to peanuts, but I was luckily enough to grow out of the allergy when I was 5.

4. My middle name is Susan.

5. This summer I want to go to America.

6. I love travelling. When I go on holiday, I try and discover little gems that not many people know about.

7. I love the colour blue.

8. I have freak moments of OCD-like behaviour, and I get really into it! Stand in the way of me putting my enormous collection of books into alphabetical author order, or colour-coding my nail varnishes and there will be consequences.

9. I used to have hair down to my knees. When I was younger I hated having it cut, and as I never got split ends, we just let it grow!

10. I live in a little town that looks like a town out of Midsummer Murders, but it is in fact on the Metropolitan line! I can get into London in 30 minutes minimum.

11. Photography is my guilty pleasure, I got Canon 550D for my A-level photography and haven't looked back since! And he's called Banquo. No judging. I love the name see, its from one of my favourite plays (Macbeth) and it'd be cruel to call my kid that! So the camera got the name!

H&M wishlist

H&M wishlist!

I love it when you get a catalogue through the door; flicking through it with a cup of tea is just more appealing and relaxing than surfing the internet for hours. One that I've recently been loving is the H&M catalogue- mine is now covered with a lot of circles marking what I want! I managed to track down some of my fave pieces at the moment online and put it onto this little wishlist!

1. Jersey dress
I adore the print on this I'm really getting into big loud florals this season, and this one is a great clashing one! With its fit and flare style, the girly shape will whisk you off to summer tea parties! As you can see, my love for dresses won't be ending anytime soon!

2. Cropped jersey top
Aaah isn't this flower print to die for?! This is actually part of a two piece set, and you can find the skirt here. I love the raw edge of this, it gives an 'undone' feel to it, almost like you've cut it yourself! Great for festivals when you want to work a bit of flower power. Peace!

3. Top with beaded decoration
Again, this is part of a two piece and you can find the skirt here. Adorned with sparkly stones, this will be great for summer evenings when you want something a bit more dressy with sturdy material. You can also work this for day with denim shorts and platform sandals.

4. Stretch trousers
I'm after some statement trousers and these look great! The monochrome graphic print work well with the ankle length, perfect for work and days in the city with a colourful collarless shirt and courts.

5. Sandals
These open-toed beauties are becoming my favourite type of heels for summer. The thick heel means they're ideal for busy days when you're running around but still want to look glam.

6. Cat print sweatshirt
This is my fave piece in this wishlist by far. The print...just the print! It reminds me of Markus Lupfer cat prints, but that the holographic colours just makes it for me!! It has ribbed cuffs and sleeves, and is a fun layer for the coming months.

7. Fringed shoulder bag
Fringed items are my go-to pieces when I'm looking for a more hippie vibe. This bag wouldn't look out of place on Vanessa Hudgens's shoulder at Coachella! The detachable chain means it can go from day bag to clutch in a couple of seconds!

8. Leather sliders
I'm loving sliders at the mo...my feet haven't left my Birkenstocks for quite a few days! These sandals have a bit more attitude, with their chunky tread and thick straps. These will look great on holiday with a cami and a maxi-skirt.

9. Handbag
A staple, in my eyes! Big enough to hold all your day stuff in (it has loads of compartments), but the gold detailing and tassles means it's luxe enough to take from desk to bar. I actually was eyeing this up in store, and couldn't decide between this one and the one here. Which one do you guys prefer?

10. Superstretch trousers
Again, these feel the printed trouser-shaped hole in my life. These are bit more casual than the other pair, with its jean-like pockets and detailing, but the delicate flower print with the black background really makes an impact!

What are you  loving from H&M at the moment? And what bag do you prefer?

OOTD: Calzedonia leggings

Jeans are such a great staple aren't they? When you're having a lazy day or in a rush, you can just throw them of with pretty much anything and you're good to do! Also, you can glam them up with heels and make them evening-worthy. So when I was invited on behalf of Naked Fashions to the Calzedonia x Bip Ling customising workshop to celebrate the release of Calzedonia's new collection of denim leggings (Demin Days), I jumped at the chance! If you want to see what I got up to, you can see here and here.

I was super proud of the leggings I customised! I realised that I hadn't done any fashion DIY in a while, so it was nice to get back into it through this workshop. I decided to incorporate two things that I didn't really have much of in my wardrobe, and they were neon and holographic. So, let's take a look at my leggings!

Blazer- Primark
Top- New Look (similar)
*Leggings- Calzedonia (customised by me!)*
Bracelet- Holiday buy
*Sliders- Birkenstock (similar)*
There were so many bits and bobs to choose from to adorn our leggings with, it was so hard to choose! But I went with these gorgeous neon gems and holographic sequins. I also added a mini mooch using fabric paint, thanks to a quick tutorial from Bip on how to draw him! Don't think I did him justice though...

So with this outfit I want the leggings to do the talking, teaming them with a white top (my savior!), and then sporting up a boyfriend blazer with new season sliders. As the leggings are so light, they're great from making the transition from spring to summer alongside my sliders, which are my new fave sandals for summer!

I featured these leggings in my March Favourites video on my Youtube channel, which you can check out here!

What do you guys think of my leggings? Are you excited about Calzedonia's Denim Days collection too?
