Sometimes there’s a brand that you’ll always hold dear to you.
Be it fashion, makeup or lifestyle, you know that that brand will be special and if you could, you would probably take shares in it. One of those brands for me, is The Cambridge Satchel Company. I remember buying my first satchel and I still use it regularly to this day. I also remember that the £113 price tag didn’t faze me (very unusual) but I guess this was my first purchase where I considered the price per wear. And boy has that satchel come a long way! CSC has some exciting products coming our way, including new backpacks, mini satchels, saddle bags and a very cool collab with a very cool designer.
Summer Colours
Inspired by British seaside towns, the primary reds, blues and yellows are the brightest collection to date! Each colour and style are named after seaside towns including St. Ives, Brighton and Pembroke.
Saddle Bags
The saddle bag is a new addition to the CSC collection, inspired by traditional equestrian design. Great for going out at the weekend or taking on your travels, it comes with a leather tab closure and adjustable shoulder strap.
Cloud Bags
Nicknamed 'the bag of dreams' by CSC, this bag is perfect to take you from day to night with room for all your essentials. The detachable leather strap means you can take it from shoulder bag to clutch in seconds, with the scalloped details proving popular among bag enthusiasts like myself.
Push Locks
If you're hunting for the perfect easy shoulder bag, look no further than the push lock range. From Christmasy reds to pastel pinks, there is a huge selection of colours to choose from. These are clean in their design, also with a detachable shoulder strap.
Magnetic Closure
These bags feature all the elements of a traditional satchel with the update of a magnetic closure. These especially look great on the tiny satchels- how cute are they?!
CSC x Vivienne Westwood
The collab with the iconic British designer is back with two new styles! The squiggle print is available in to of CSC’s best-loved colours; Oxblood and Red, and are available in both the Tiny Satchel and the Small Portrait Backpack. The print is screen-printed directly onto the leather by the British printer who has produced Westwood’s iconic Pirate Boots for over 30 years!
Do you own any CSC bags? Which ones are your favourite from the new collections?

Here’s what’s been going on my face.
I’ve always had a open relationship with face serums. With hair serums, I’m in a fully committed marriage after using them non-stop for a good many years…by face serums? Not so much. I guess I never let them show me their full potential. I would get a sample of a (normally expensive) serum and love it to pieces, but then once it was used up I would fail to replace it. But then came along this Vitamin C serum.
This is my second bottle of the Balance Vitamin C Power Serum, and the first thing I would say is that I wish the bottle was bigger! Seeing as I use it twice a day as it’s fab for waking up my skin in the morning as well as preparing it for a night’s sleep, I’ve been using this up pretty quickly. This illuminates and brightens tired skin to help you look like you’ve had at least 8 hours sleep when IRL you’ve only had about 4. It’s really light-weight and sinks in quickly. As it sinks in to my skin I give myself a little face massage to increase the circulation to keep those pesky wrinkles away (I ain’t getting any younger you know, I’ll be 21 next month)!
It is suitable for all skin types, and my skin stays matte with no makeup on for about 7 hours after using it…pretty impressive seeing as without my saviour that is powder, I turn into a shiny mess during the day. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in my skin after using this- it’s more plump and not as grey as it normally is in the morning. This is perfect for summer as it’s not heavy on your skin, but during the winter you may prefer to go or a slightly heavier serum.
Are you including serums in your skincare routine? Let me know if you recommend any as I love trying out new products.

Makeup to get excited about.
Makeup launches are one of my favourite types of events to attend. You get view and try out the new products, and if you’re lucky, take home some of them to keep! I’ve loved Barry M from a very young age (don’t ask me how many nail paints of theirs I won), and they have some really exciting products out this spring! Alongside the new launches, Barry M have announced that Lucy Mecklenburgh will be the face of Barry M for 2016! So take a peek and see if there’s anything you’ve bought already…
This eye-opening product works as an eye-lash curler and mascara all in one. The specially designed brush lifts each lash up as you put on the mascara, rolling them to give a curled finish. The mascara is easily buildable without clumping too much, so you can create as dramatic a look as you want! I personally have quite long curly lashes already, but I did notice a good amount of lift when I applied this mascara. I featured it in my March Favourites which you can see here.
The new colours in the Speedy Nail Paint collection are pretty pastels that dry super quickly. The flat control brush allows easy and precise application, and my favourite shade has to be Personal Best which is a gorgeous purple.
In A Flash - Personal Best - Winning Streak - Freestyle
As a huge lover of the Gelly Nail Paints, the four new shades are absolute staple colours. If you love lighter colours, then the off white and beige colours are right up your street. And at £3.99 a pop, nothing’s stopping you getting all 4 shades…
Acai Smoothie - Cream Soda - Butterscotch Sundae - Pink Lemonade
This sculpt and highlight trio are back with a new shade for medium-dark skin tones! With a step-by-step guide that makes enhancing your features a doddle, you can highlight your cheekbones, slim your face and get an all over bronze glow in no time.
One of my favourite products out of the spring launches, this has seriously upped my brow game. Again, another 3 step kit that you can easily slip into your bag for on-the-go touch ups, it also comes with seriously good mini tweezers. The highlight is pretty similar to theBalm Mary Lou Manizer in its glow, and even though the brow shade is a tiny bit light for me, I can definitely get away with it. This is also featured in my March Favourites if you fancy a watch.
These were something I was seriously excited to try! Along with the cute tropical colours, they create pro salon gel nails without the need for a UV lamp, as the natural daylight UV rays set them. The formula also has a base coat built in to protect the nail underneath and allow the colour to bond. It can easily be removed with your normal nail polish remover, so no extra agro having to remove (in my case pick off) the gel of a professional mani!
All The Things She Red - Bug A Blue - Pinking Out Loud - Empire State Of Mint - Topcoat
Have you picked up any of these products already? Or are there any you’re dying to try? Let me know!
