Valentine's Day Eco Gift Guide For Her

Valentine's Day Eco Gift Guide For Her

AD - contains all gifted products and affiliate links (ad-aff)

Valentine's and Galentine's Day can always be a tricky holiday to buy for if you're celebrating it, as there's always so much out there to choose from. Also if you're trying to stick to more sustainable presents, it can be hard to scout them out among all the other ones that aren't so eco.

As I'm on my own journey to becoming more sustainable, I decided to put together a list of presents perfect for the woman in your life that get the eco-friendly tick from me! Whether you're looking for a beauty fave of hers, something to add to her home, a wonderful new fragrance to spoil her with, or looking to spoil yourself, here are my Valentine's Day gift ideas.

HAIRCARE

There's nothing like pampering from head to toe, and to help you start from the head, So Eco makes the most amazing hairbrushes as well as the makeup brushes they're known for.

SO ECO DETANGLING BRUSH

Their detangling brush can be used wet or dry to detangle hair without damaging it, has a great comfortable design for holding when using, and at the end of its life, it is fully biodegradable, meaning you can compost it fully and it won't leave any toxins in the soil.

So Eco is PETA accredited, cruelty-free and vegan and place a unique emphasis on components being responsibly and ethically sourced. The brand is also an official partner of Tree Nation, planting a tree for every 100 products sold. So far they have planted 25,512 trees through this partnership.

SKINCARE

Now let the pampering continue, this time moving down to the face.

SO ECO GENTLE FACIAL BUFFER

Carrying on with So Eco, they also have some amazing face products to make your loved one's skincare routine more eco. Their Gentle Facial Buffer is a great alternative to liquid exfoliators and is made from natural ramie and cotton.

If your loved one has sensitive skin, then this will treat it carefully while removing any build-up of dead skin. The sustainability continues on to the packaging the buffer comes in, which is all recyclable.

BIORÉ WITCH HAZEL PORE CLARIFYING COOLING CLEANSER

To keep the pampering going for every day, look into skincare products that treat the skin with key ingredients. Witch hazel is known for it's healing properties and Bioré had the clever idea of including it in their Pore Clarifying Cooling Cleanser.

This facial wash helps to treat acne, clogged pores, and blackheads (my biggest problem), while the cool formula calms the skin. This also contains salicylic acid which is well known for reducing blemishes and also helps prevent too much oil production in the skin.

Bioré are cruelty-free, vegan, and are making great efforts to make as much of their packaging as recyclable as possible. They have also partnered with How2Recycle to add labels to their products to show how to properly recycle their packaging, along with the Sustainable Forestry Initiative to responsibly resource their product materials.

HOME

There's nothing like treating your loved one to a new fragrance to fill their home with, especially if you get the benefit to smelling it too if you live with them!

CLEAN SPACE WARM COTTON REED DIFFUSER

Clean Reserve is known for its amazing fragrances, but they also have their Space home range too, including candles, room sprays, and reed diffusers. This reed diffuser in Warm Cotton fills the room with that amazing 'clean sheet' scent which isn't too overpowering for those who don't like sweet scents.

This scent lasts up to 90 days and the bottle is very stylish so it will fit seamlessly into anyone's decor style.

Clean Space's reed diffusers are made from sustainable ingredients, natural rattan reeds and 100% vegan oil. The glass vase is reusable, with replaceable and recyclable reeds. They are also gluten-free, cruelty-free and created without parabens, dyes or phthalates.

When it comes to being sustainable, we're all trying to make little improvements in our lives to help save the planet, and one of those improvements is buying a reusable bottle or drinks cup to stop us consuming single-plastic water bottles and takeaway coffee cups.

CORKCICLE X RIFLES PAPER CO CANTEEN

If you're looking to update your loved one's bottle or drinks cup, then Corkcicle has some amazing BPA-free designs to choose from that will keep your drinks cold for 25 hours or hot for 12 hours, depending on what your chosen tipple is.

They've recently teamed up with Rifle Paper to create a beautifully illustrated range of bottles and cups that are super stylish as well as being practical.

Corkcicle is making the switch from single plastic water bottles to reusable much easier with their sleek designs, and each canteen prevents an average of 300 plastic bottles from polluting the earth every year!

MAKEUP

There are some great eco-friendly makeup gift ideas out there this year that would suit anyone's taste, from the neutral lover to the person who enjoys a pop of colour.

KVD VEGAN BEAUTY SHADE & LIGHT EYE CONTOUR PALETTE

Let's start with those who love a neutral look. KVD's classic Shade & Light face palette has now been joined by the eyeshadow palette, filled with a wonderful range of matte warm and cool tones neutral shades that can be used every day.

The eyeshadows themselves are buildable and have the most amazing pigmentation on the eyes too!

KVD Vegan Beauty creates cruelty-free and vegan makeup, with some of their palette's being refillable too to reduce product and packaging waste.

MULAC REFILLABLE PALETTE £6.80 AND BLUSH REFILLS IN WINNIE, BELLE, SCAR AND CLIMAX

On the talk of palettes, I'm a huge fan of refillable customisable palettes, and a great option to buy your loved one is this face palette from Mulac.

This one holds four pans and is super lightweight and thin, making it great for travel. I always struggle with ready-made blush palettes as there are always a few I won't use, but by being able to make your own you can choose the shades that suit you, meaning less waste at the end of the day.

Mulac's products are vegan and uses 90% natural ingredients too!

INIKA ORGANIC LIPSTICK CRAYON

For the bright-lip fans, Inika Organic has some amazing colours without any nasty ingredients hidden in them.

Their lipstick crayons offer a creamy smooth texture and doesn't dry the lips like some crayons do thanks to the coconut oil, carnauba wax ('good' palm leaf wax) and vitamin E.

This Chilli Red shade is a gorgeous orangey-red that really pops on the lips and has a lovely subtle shine for those who aren't a fan of an overly matte look.

All INIKA Organic products are 100% naturally derived, Certified Vegan & Cruelty-Free.

FRAGRANCE

FLORAL STREET WILD VANILLA ORCHID FRAGRANCE 10ML

Lastly, if you're looking for a classic beauty present like perfume, then Floral Street has a huge selection of fragrances to suit every personality.

Their Wild Vanilla Orchid fragrance is a particular standout, due to the mix of sweet notes like vanilla, red orchid and citrus, and the darker notes like sandalwood and bamboo.

Floral Street also recently launched its 'on-the-go' sizes that are perfect for travel or for popping in your bag for top-ups. If you want to discover their perfumes in the flesh, they have a store in Covent Garden where you will be matched with your perfect scent. They even have a pick & mix option where you can pick out four favourites for £86, saving you £10!

Floral Street's fragrances are vegan and cruelty-free and their packaging is recyclable, reusable or compostable.
