Shopping for men can always be hard for us ladies, and I find it especially hard to shop for my dad! Dads always seem to have such specific tastes, and normally I find myself picking up something for him only to find out from my mum that he's already got it!
This year, however, I've been looking a little more into potential gifts (other than socks) and when you look hard enough you can find some amazing original gifts for all different types of Dads.

Let's start off with a brand that I continuously go back to for gift sets. Baylis & Harding have some great offerings for Father's Day, including these two gift sets. The Fuzzy Duck range always hits the nail on the head with their fragrances and packaging, and I'm loving the look of their Ginger and Lime Best Beard set.
Housed in this tan box with union jack features you will find the perfect grooming kit to keep your dad's beard looking good. The beard shampoo and face wash gently cleanse the skin and remove any stubborn dirt hiding in the beard, and the tangy scent will be the perfect pick-me-up in the morning. You also get a beard balm and a comb to keep any stray hairs in place after washing.
I've featured sets from the Black Pepper and Ginseng range before on my blog as it smells so darn good, and they have brought out a travel essentials set perfect for any upcoming holidays this year.
In this super sleek box is a body wash, shower gel, face wash and aftershave balm to soothe and nourish the skin in bottles 100ml or under. The scent of this range is a perfect mix of fruity and spicy notes, with sandalwood and cedar base notes, making it great for evening's out as well as every day.

Fragrance is always a winner as a gift, whether it's a scent they already like or a new one for them to try. The Fragrance Shop always has a great selection of perfumes and aftershaves for really reasonable prices, and they kindly sent over a 60ml bottle of Joop! Wow!
This scent is surprisingly fresh with notes of bergamot, violet leaves and cardamon for a little added spice, and the simple sleek design will look good in any bathroom. My dad has given his seal of approval to this, saying he likes that it appeals to an older audience as well as a younger one too, and also that it's lasted so long on the skin.

For the book worms, there is always a great selection to choose from, fiction or non-fiction. One that I think would be perfect for a Dad who loves to get lost in a book is Night Boat To Tangier by Kevin Barry.

This is currently on pre-order with it being released on the 20th, so this might be a good option if you'll be seeing your Dad after Father's Day!
Now let's talk about skincare. Some men love it, some men hate it, but I thought I'd include a mixture of no-fuss products and ones for the skincare lovers to cover everyone.
When it comes to no-fuss products, it's always good to go for a brand who have a good reputation and Magnitone have been in the skincare game for a long while (I still have my original Bare Faced cleansing brush and I love it).
They have brought out their men's Clean Sweep range, designed to give everything the skin needs without any fuss. The Resilience Moisturiser is designed to calm the skin while keeping it hydrated, with Ginseng to keep skin looking fresh and Vitamin B5 to prevent damage to skin cells.
This works really well with the Energising Face Wash, which protects the skin at the same time as cleaning it, while the caffeine in it gives skin the boost it needs to keep it from looking tired.
The ultimate no-fuss product in this range has to be the Supercharged Microfibre Wash Glove which removes any stubborn dirt and dead skin cells without the need to any cleanser! You just wet the glove and rub it all over your face to exfoliate any nasty stuff away!
A brand that has no-fuss at its core is 31st State. As soon as I heard about this brand I knew I had to feature them- they are a UK brand inspired by the laidback vibes of California, with their products containing all-natural ingredients free from any horrible chemicals. They cover everything from skincare, haircare and body care all in super sleek packaging. 31st State is vegan and cruelty-free and also all their packaging is 100% recyclable so no need to feel bad about the environmental impact.
A couple of products that caught my eye (and perfect for those who like a good combo product) were the Overnight Clearing Pads and the 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash.
The clearing pads can be used like a cleansing wipe, but the lactic acid, tea tree and zinc in it target any spots rearing their ugly heads while treating the skin to prevent any more breakouts all in one swipe.
A 2-in-1 product is probably as fuss-free as you can get, with this one multitasking to clean the body and hair. I probably wouldn't say this would replace shampoo if your Dad is a guy who likes to use a proper shampoo and conditioner (maybe if they have longer hair), but for those who like to be in and out of the shower in 5 minutes flat, this is a great product to try.

Believe me when I say this, but there are men out there who actually enjoy doing skincare, and rightly so! As much as people complain about the time they spend on skincare, the benefits of looking after your skin now are really worth the results later on in life, like when you're still being ID'd at 30 when you go out. That's my goal anyway!
Masquebar has brought out these hilariously named masks for the dad's who like to have a bit of a pamper every now and again. Lastly, for those who are into a more natural and sustainable lifestyle, Live In The Light is a fantastic online gift store that specialises in organic products - I'm definitely going to be coming back to this shop in the future when I'm buying gifts!
There's a huge selection on the site to choose from, with everything from solid colognes like this one from VonBros, to eco-friendly car cleaners like this one from Vermont Soap.
Staying clear of synthetic chemicals, this solid cologne is made from a mix of essential oils and is vegan and cruelty-free. Coming in this tiny pot, this balm will last for a long time and doesn't have any unneeded excess packaging.
The pot I have here is in Rio De Janeiro, which is a very sweet scent with some spicy notes thrown in. Balms are definitely not as long-lasting as spray colognes, but if your Dad prefers a scent that becomes really subtle throughout the day, then this is a great pick!
