5 Of My Favourite Perfumes Right Now

7 Of My Favourite Perfumes Right Now

I'm not sure if I'm the only one, but I have a lot of perfume. It's not been something that I was aware of until I really looked at how many bottles I had standing on my shelf, but I just seem to accumulate them! This is mainly due to people buying them for me as gifts, winning them in competitions and through samples. But am I complaining?! Definitely not.

The one thing I love about owning so many bottles of perfume is that I can choose a scent to fit my specific mood that day. I can flit from floral to musky, daytime to evening, powerful to light without having to stick to one scent! There are a few that I always enjoy wearing that bit more than some of the others I own, so here are my favourite perfumes I'm reaching for right now.

Just to give you a heads up, I'm not an expert in perfume, so I've tried to describe each perfume in the best way I can.

ACCESSORIZE LOVE LILY*

Can we just start with how cute the packaging of this it? It's very young and fresh, and matches the scent inside perfectly!

With notes of orange, vanilla, raspberry, and jasmine, Love Lily is fun and playful, and as it settles into my skin the citrus notes really came out. This is a particular favourite of my boyfriend's, and the first time I wore it we kept commenting on how lovely the scent was!

MONSOON ROSE GOLD*

Like the Accessorize perfume, Monsoon is killing it with the packaging! The white cardboard packaging looks so Scandi, so I'll definitely be keeping it!

This scent has some lovely rich tones but it's light enough to wear during the day. Every now and again, I get little hints of florals and citrus which keeps me loving this perfume throughout the whole day.

CALVIN KLEIN EUPHORIA

Since receiving this for my 16th birthday, I have been wearing this perfume NON STOP. I can definitely call it my signature scent, and one I will be repurchasing for many years to come!

It's the perfect day to night scent, as it's light enough to wear in the daytime while having deep tones to carry me through into the evening. This is a beautiful mix of pomegranate, orchid, and blossom, with a slight woody undertone, and I always find it lasts all day, only needing to reapply if I've been up and about all day and I'm carrying on into the evening.

ISSEY MIYAKE PLEATS PLEASE

I had never heard of Issey Miyake before until I tried this, and now I'm so glad I have. This light, fresh scent is my companion through spring and summer, and sometimes during the colder months when I fancy something light.

This scent features wild rose and neroli blossom, with a touch of pink pepper and white musk as the base notes. And let's talk about the bottle for a sec- distorted glass that's shaped almost like a scrunched up piece of paper with an ornate flower on the lid.

THIERRY MUGLER ALIEN EAU EXTRAORDINAIRE*

Lastly, my most worn evening fragrance by far. I was lucky enough to get my hands on this when it first came out in 2014 and if you want to see for yourself how much I've loved Thierry Mugler perfumes over the years you can take a look at this post, and also this one.

Bergamont mixes with citrus to create an addictive scent that I just can't get enough of! Plus I always adore the Mugler bottles, and this one just oozes art-deco Gatsby.

My perfume collection is always ever-growing, so if any of you have any Christmassy scents that you adore, I'd love to hear them! It's just over a month until the big day, so it's definitely not too early to be getting that Christmas present list sorted...

  3. I love perfumes but haven't worn them in years since I went the natural and organic route...I can't seem to find any good non-toxic perfumes that aren't crazy expensive.
