November was press day season! Meaning most of the last few weeks consisted of running around London from press day to press day, as they normally all end up on the same day. Cue comfy shoes and constantly downloading photos to free up SD card space. They are hella fun though, which definitely makes up for the stress and shoulder ache the day after. Everyone is looking to SS16, so here are what some of Modus PR's clients have got in store for the warmer months…
Let the fangirling commence. As a long-standing worshiper of TCSC, I was thrilled to bits to be greeted with this as the first stand! They sure are bringing the colour in next season, from Monaco Red to Sweet Pea Blue, two tone and stripes, and of course their classic colours. Their miniature satchels have always caught my eye, but as soon as I saw the cloud bag, I was done!
Seeing Muji there also got me pretty excited! Who doesn't love minimalistic, aesthetically pleasing homeware?! They had some old favourites, including their acrylic makeup storage, and some new creations such as their kettle, toaster, cuckoo clocks and skincare. Their skincare comes in two ranges; one for sensitive skin and one for high moisture and includes everything from toning water to sheet masks. They also had some cool customisable sneakers, and Christmas stamps- perfect for giving that personal touch to cards and presents this year.
Shoes and bags…do I need to say more? There was a fab collection on display, include fierce studs to metallic pastels. I'm a big lover of cobalt blue, so these two pairs really caught my attention!
You may or may not know that I'm a huge lover of socks. So when I saw these metallic socks at Falke, I was very happy ;) they also do great hosiery, with lace patterned tights right down to your basic black sheer pair.
For SS16, TSE drew inspiration from Jamaica and the effortless laid back feel around the island. I loved the playful woven knits and watercolour palette. They only use sustainable, environmentally friendly fabrics, with organic cotton and cashmere (minus the usually harsh chemicals).
Lee's SS16 collection is called Freedom and Liberation and is inspired by hanging street art and open birdcages. This collection has a carefree feeling, combined with a 70's Californian silhouette. The classic tailoring is combined with a free-spirited approach with low racer-back maxi dresses with thigh splits, and flared culottes. Spaghetti strap beach dresses hung alongside asymmetric coats, and stripe patterns made of natural raw edge silk created texture.
GG's launches with the Slipper collection- a contemporary interpretation of the babouche embellished with metallic brush strokes and splashes. There is more than meets the eye with these shoes…they have a concealed wedge heel, padded insole and the backs can be folded down for the real 'slipper' feel.
I'm a huge lover of Zoeva products, so getting the opportunity to see the new collections was really exciting! They had some of their ongoing collections as well as the new Taupe palette and brushes. The palette has a collection of beautiful warm and cold taupe shades, with awesome graphic packaging. I'm really into violet eyeshadows at the moment, which has made this palette shoot to the top of my wishlist! The brush set is equally stunning! It goes along with the colour-theme of the Taupe palette with a gorgeous matching clutch.
Monu had a small selection of products on show, including the Rosewood Reviving Mist, Enriched Body Cream and Illuminating Primer.
Aaah, Pixi. This is a brand I've always admired, so to see their new collection was super exciting! There are some beautiful colours coming your way, including pastels, corals and beautiful sea blues. They also have some exciting skincare products coming out, including a mud cleanser, tonic toner and a tinted face gel!
When I was younger A&F was one of the brands to be seen in. I've steered clear since then, but after seeing their new collection, I've already started making a mental note of things I want, including this cute denim tie up top, sunglasses and cute white crochet shorts.
Ah, who doesn't love a good pair of eyewear? I hadn't heard of Marchon before, but they have a great selection of brands including Calvin Klein, Chloé and Salvatore Ferragamo.
I spent ages in the G-Star Raw section, and for good reason! There was so much to see, including the deconstructed 5620 G-Star Elwood to celebrate 20 years of the iconic 3D denim. There was also am awesome khaki collection, denim shoes and a collection made from rubbish collected from our oceans called Battle For Big Blue.
From striped dungarees to oversized smock dresses, pinafores and shirts, this is literally me in a brand! There wasn't one thing that I didn't like! I attended their SS16 press day so you'll get to see the collection in full then.
For their new collection, Le Slip Français takes you to the French tropics, inspired by locations such as Mimizan, Le Bouquet and Brehat Island. This is the place to go if you're looking for a holiday wardrobe, with gorgeous swimwear and loungewear to keep you're easygoing vibe going.
If you don't know about TOMS, then where have you been?! For every shoe they sell, they give a pair to someone in need around the world. Next season, they have taken inspiration from 1950's riviera, Moroccan souks (open-air marketplaces) and Hawaiian tiki jungles to create stunning styles, from their classic slip on to wedges and sandals. Also, all purchases of their bags support their Giving Partners in delivering vital materials and training to help the safe birth for a mother and baby in need.

Oh wow, SO MUCH PRETTINESS. Would love to get my hands on a Cambridge satchel, and the Zoeva brush sets are definitely on my wishlist.
