It’s that time of year again when all the invites for pre fashion week events come flooding in. It’s always so much fun attending all these events, and I always feel incredibly lucky, but sometimes my schedule goes completely out the window. Also while you’re reading this, I’ll be attempting to get a tan in Zante, and when I get back it’s fashion week the next day! So please bare with me while I fight post holiday blues and jet lag from Thursday onwards…
But as soon as I see my pictures from events on my camera, eagerly awaiting to be edited and uploaded, I get spurred on to work non stop to get them up onto the WWW. So here we go!
I recently attended Scarlett London’s Bloggers Festival for the second year (catch what I got up to last year here) and it was bigger and better than ever! It was held at the Conrad London hotel in St. James Park, where we managed to pack nearly 200 bloggers in! The power of blogging eh?
I had met up with Viv beforehand, so we walked the extremely short walk over to the hotel together, but as soon as we arrived I saw so many people I knew! Events like this are almost like a huge reunion for bloggers as well as a networking event, as you get to see so many people that you may not have seen in a very long while! And yes, there was squealing when I reunited with some people ;)
Scarlett’s events are so well organised, and there’s always so much to do! At the Bloggers Festival there was a small reception room and then an even bigger room, all packed with brands and their stalls! Let’s just say that in the 3 hours that the event took place, I only just about got round all of them!
Jewellery Box were there again, and after having a good old natter with them, I proceeded to fall in love with their stuff all over again! I was lucky enough to win some stuff from them at the Big Blogger Conference which I can’t wait to show you!
The Perfume Shop had a Barbie inspired stall set up with all of their new releases. I particular loved the Olympēa fragrance from Paco Rabanne.
Bravura are a skincare brand that tackles problematic skin. They cover everything from anti-ageing serums, gentle cleansers and their super cool exfoliating cloth.
I recently got sent a TOAD diary to review, so it was great to meet them face to face and have a chat! You can design your own diaries, so really fab for bloggers looking to plan posts or just for general use!
My Nanshy brushes are some of my favourite brushes that I own, so I really enjoyed looking at their full collection! The grips on the brushes are super handy and I can’t get enough of their angled precision eyeliner brush.
As soon as I saw BareMinerals, I had to head over to see what they had to show! I’m a big fan of BareMinerals fan, so had a great time chatting to them all things beauty. And I was lucky enough to win their competition that they were running that day! I’m so excited to share what it is!
I’m looking for a colourful fur coat for fashion week (which is on Friday and I haven’t bought anything yet…) and this one from Minimum Fashion really caught my eye! It’s so darn soft and the cropped length means you won’t loose your shape in it.
Mode (formerly Glam) Media were also there to talk about making the most of your blog and possibly turning it into a job. I learnt a lot about how campaigns with their bloggers work and how it can almost be like being part of a family!
It’s always so much fun going to blogger run events, so if you can, try and get to Bloggers Festival next year! Scarlett did an amazing job.
Gx
