The Short Shoe History with Farfetch

I really adore the infographs that Farfetch have created in the past; I've worked with them previously to celebrate the Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibition which you can see here. I was delighted when they contacted me again to see if I wanted to do another post with them :)

The infographic and gif show a stunning visual timeline of the evolution of the shoe, displaying an iconic shoe for each decade and the fashion and pop culture icons that championed the shoe during its reign. Original fashion illustrations, created exclusively for The Short Shoe History, have been used to illustrate the evolution of the shoe. The timeline goes back as far as the glamorous Roaring Twenties era right through to the architectural and futuristic shoes of the current day.

So if you want to take a trip through time and shoes, check it out below:

Which shoe is most iconic for you?

  1. This is a great infographic! It's crazy how the heels have changed over time. Personally I love the 1920's and 1940's era's - their shoes are so cute and practical xo

  2. Oo this is actually so interesting, I never knew that a lot of those style shoes came from those eras. I think 90's is my fave!
