Tis the season to be ill, so my body has done exactly that. That combined with lack of sleep has halted all blogging activity, due to the fact that looking at a screen would make me feel awful. But after a couple of days of full on rest, I feel a lot better! Meaning I can now show this amazing collaboration with you :)
Motel have teamed up with tattoo artist and all round awesome person Grace Neutral to create a range compromising of directional silhouettes, form-fitting separates and eye catching patterns. Grace, formerly a body piercer, began tattooing professionally in 2012 and rose to fame for her tattooing and personal style. The collection includes a muted monochrome palette and intricate mandala designs that cover relaxed fit tees, cut-out dresses and kimonos.
After being invited to the launch to view the collection and meet Grace (who, by the way, is one of the sweetest bubbly people I've ever met), I knew I just couldn't do a little write-up about the event and then leave it at that… I needed some of the collection for my wardrobe! After much humming and harring, I went for the matching Bonnie Crop Top and Kimmy Skirt. I'm all about a good co-ord, and being a pattern addict this collection was right up my street! The polyester material does a great job of keeping you warm surprisingly, so with a big coat, boots and tights this was perfect for a press day run in London! This co-ord is a real figure hugger, so just watch you don't get too bloated while wearing this! I do love the high-waisted style of the skirt as it makes the two together look more like a dress, and you do get a bit of the pattern stretching over your curves, but it's not too noticeable. This is perfect for dressing down while the weather's still cold, or dressing up with chunky strong heels or boots for the party season. I'm also showcasing my new baby that is my Daniel Wellington watch that I received for my one year anniversary :D I literally could't believe my eyes when I opened up the box!
