I unfortunately couldn't make any shows/presentations on day 2 of LFW, so trundled up on day 3 (after oversleeping, typical) for my first presentation. Most of the events I was invited to that day were happening at the ME Hotel, which is a godsend during fashion week as they open up their rooftop bar for tired and weary fashion week goers to grab a coffee and charge their phones. After spending some time in the bar with my lovely fashion week buddies; Josh, Lizzie, Kinga, Raahim and Allysha, we headed to the Little Shilpa presentation in the stunning reception at the hotel!
"The hunter crouches in his blind
'neath camouflage of every kind,
And conjures up a quaking noise
To lend allure to his decoys.
This grown-up man, with pluck and luck
Is hoping to outwit a duck." - Ogden Nash
Little Shilpa's AW15 collection was called Feral Nation, which revolves around bringing up the chaos from within ourselves without the negative connotations. Camouflage, in neoprene, parachute silk and plastic, is covered with embellishments, to signify the human spirit. Military style sweatshirts and animal-inspired handcrafted headgear representing our inner feral nature, are showcased together to show how one can tap into their deepest fears and look fierce without loosing a sense of style. They wanted to merge the lines between wear-ability and avant-garde.
We were also gifted this gorgeous brooch after the presentation, which every time I look at it reminds me of the presentation as it really was an 'experience'. The models slowly glided out to us with animal like movements, sometimes standing for a long period of time looking transfixed straight down the camera lenses pointing straight at them (a photographers dream) or helping each other up onto podiums to stare down at us. You left feeling slightly shaken about what you had seen, but definitely in a good way! I took some of my favourite shots of fashion week at this presentation- that's all I need to say!
What do you think of the collection?

Unfortunately I didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked from this show, as the lighting was so bad! The venue at BEAT London was so lovely, but not when it came to photos! Here are some of the best shots I got...
"Only at nightfall, aethereal rumours
Revive for a moment a broken Coriolanus" - TS Eliot, The Wasteland
The collection was called Nightfall, and it explored its mystical realm using sheer, lace and sequins for a feeling of sensuality and seduction. The colour palette was black, gold, nude and red, which resemble the sunset, the moon, and the darkness of night. This was a collection of demi-couture evening wear created to adorn and honour the female frame to create a lady confident in her beauty and individuality.

Bee Good are a brand that I've been in love with for a while. I was gifted a moisturiser by them which I used up so quickly because I adored it (you can see it here in my Empty Products video)! So I was delighted when they sent me this cleansing water to try! Find out what I thought of it below:
BRAND
Bee Good is an independent British skincare company based in rural Hampshire, started in 2008 by husband and wife team Simon and Caroline. Experienced beekeeper Simon keeps hives in old orchards surrounding his home, and it was Caroline's interest in using the excess honey and beeswax which led to the first Bee Good products. They've harnessed the centuries-old healing powers of British honey, propolis (the resin collected by honeybees from tree sap and botanicals to fill gaps in the hives) and beeswax in their skin range. Bursting with the finest ingredients, their products blend ethically sourced bee-based ingredients with naturally active botanicals and plant oils. They're passionate about supporting the countryside and bees, and donate a share of all profits to UK bee-keeping causes.
PACKAGING
I love the packaging on this; super pretty with clear visuals showing the British production. The top allows the product to come out slowly, so you don't end up pouring out too much and wasting product. The ingredients are clear, but I did have to look at the press release that was sent with the product to see how to use it as it wasn't entirely clear on the bottle.
Bee Good Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water |
PRODUCT
I was super impressed by this! It was very cooling going onto the skin and sunk in very quickly. It did a great job at removing my full face of makeup, even leftover eye makeup (its delicate enough to use around the eye area without damaging the skin)! The thing I was most impressed with though was the effect it had on my skin...I used it one morning, and I had a couple of post LFW spots still rearing their ugly heads on my skin. I was also having a non makeup day so after I had done my usual skincare routine I left them be. Later that day my boyfriend asked whether I had popped these spots and I replied that I hadn't (I'm totally against it). He then commented that they had seriously reduced in size and redness- I didn't quite believe him and went to have a look for myself. AND HE WAS RIGHT! I concluded it must have been the cleansing water that had worked this miracle on my skin as I had made no other change to my skincare routine. I was so shocked at how effective it was!!!
All in all, I couldn't recommend this enough! It's certainly replacing my usual cleanser...take that spots!
Have you tried any Bee Good product before? What do you think?

My entrance to this show was completely rushed. After the Jean-Pierre Braganza show started incredibly late, a group of us dashed out of Somerset House over to the Waldorf Hilton- I don't think London's drivers have ever witnessed such a scene of a mad group of fashion week goers weaving in and out of traffic, screaming the whole way (heels and all, may I add)! But thankfully they had only just started letting people in, so me and Zoe still managed to get a good spot. And it was definitely worth it! This was by far one of my favourite shows this season...
Where to start! The models walked in and out of the seated guests (including Una from the Saturdays and Michelle Keegan) with messy 40's style up do's and a mixture of knee high socks and white tights. The gowns came in a variety of opulent patterns in thick material, with a hella load of bell sleeves (oh hello sneaky 70's reference...there is no escaping it next season). Shoulders were on show but still kept very classic, while other pieces covered them up in baby doll dresses with ruffled collars. Even though the style of the dresses were cute and youthful, the colours were very grown-up, in jewel tones. And when there was a splash of pastel pink, it was kept under control with snake skin accessories. Soon the tweed came out to play, taking the form of coats and bolero jackets. One of my favourite pieces was a pocketed monochrome collared dress (typical)...you can't deny how wearable it is! Collars in general were a main feature, ranging from standard shirt collars to oversized fold overs to fur to Peter Pan styles. My favourite fit and flare style also graced the floor, in pieces suitable for night and day. There were undertones of English heritage in combinations of smart dresses and coats that wouldn't look out of place at a stately home, but given fun twists in bright colours.
